Boots for teens

For younger wearers, compare the actual size guide and foot measurements rather than choosing by an age label. The selection includes Kids-labelled winter silhouettes; shaft height, fastening and interior room need to suit the wearer now.

Choosing Your Style

When choosing lined footwear, compare which interior areas the lining covers and how your foot fits with socks. A fluffy appearance does not identify its composition; check the upper, lining and insole separately.

Lining affects the room available inside a boot. When comparing designs, check whether it covers the footbed, sides and shaft, and try them with your usual socks. A bulkier interior can change the fit even when the labelled size is identical. Your toes should retain room while walking, without excessive heel lift.

Fit and Care

Try the footwear with your usual socks and check toe room. Clean according to the material and dry away from radiators; only machine-wash if expressly permitted.

Frequently asked questions

Should I buy much larger boots so a teenager can grow into them?

Do not choose excess length solely for future growth. Check both feet against the guide and assess heel hold, toe space and walking with the intended socks. A larger size can change support without correcting an unsuitable shape.

Should I size up because of the lining?

Not automatically. Check each design's size guide and try it with your socks. Sizing up may add length without resolving local pressure over the instep; compare the last shape and entry opening as well.

What should feel comfortable when I first try on boots?

Your toes should have space, your heel should stay supported and the instep should not feel pinched. Walk and bend your knees with your usual socks. Do not rely on a soft lining to compensate for pressure or on future stretching to fix a poor fit.

Can I wear them in the rain?

Warm lining or a thick sole does not establish waterproofing. Look for that feature on the product page; without it, do not choose the style as dedicated rain footwear.

How should I dry a warm lining after wearing boots?

Let the interior air out fully before storing the boots. Open functional fastenings and remove an insole only if it is designed to come out. Avoid radiators and direct heat, and follow the care instructions for the lining and upper separately.

Does every pair have the same shaft height?

No. Low and higher cuts can appear in the same selection. Compare the actual measurements and where the edge meets your leg; size alone does not establish shaft height or opening width.
